Wearing the custom dental night guard on either the upper or lower teeth is mainly a matter of preference even with teeth more worn on on either the upper or lower teeth. As long as a custom dental guard is worn it will create a barrier between the teeth protecting them from teeth grinding and or teeth clenching. Most customers do order for their upper teeth as upper custom teeth night guards tend to be more comfortable and do not impinge on the tongue as much as a lower guard.
